Below are a number of resources for young people, parents and professionals. There are millions of different resources available on the internet. These are just a few which we know that people have actually found useful. The aim is to keep this list regularly updated.

Parents' Guide to Teenage Anxiety and Stress

This document is an excellent guide to what causes stress, why, how it can become overwhelming, and includes loads of useful links to other websites as well as some really excellent tools and strategies for managing stress and anxiety.

If you have a teenager who is sitting exams this year, this is ESSENTIAL reading.

Child Bereavement UK

These guys are the experts when it comes to counselling bereaved children. Everyone responds to grief in different ways. Especially children, who may never have experienced it before. Often bereavement during early childhood really surfaces as an unresolved issue during the changes of adolescence. If you are aware of a child who has lost someone important from their life, then these are the people to speak to.

I Am Sober

This is an excellent App for anyone trying to address any form of habit or addiction. It is not just about drugs or alcohol, but can also help with addictions to gambling, self-harm, video games or even chocolate!

It is available as an App for Android and Iphone.

Mind

Stacks of great online resources and ideas for dealing with everything from Covid worries, stress, mental health, anxiety, your legal rights, and loads more. 

If you are a young person struggling to cope, text YM to 85258 for free, 24/7 support.

Kooth

Online Counselling and Support. These guys really know their stuff and it is all done online so you don't have to worry about bumping into your Counsellor in Lidl when you are helping your Mam with the shopping.

Also there is an awesome support forum for teenagers to post their problems and support each other. All totally anonymous.
